Part of the Arturo Fuente family
Casa Cuba Cigars in Louisville, KY
Carried at The Office Cigar Lounge in New Albany, Indiana — seven minutes from downtown Louisville. Sit, light up, and ask Tommy for a recommendation.
Casa Cuba holds a special place in the Fuente story: it was the last blend created by family patriarch Carlos Fuente Sr., and the first entirely new brand from the family since Opus X debuted in 1995. Conceived for the company's 100th anniversary and released in 2013, Casa Cuba was Don Carlos's tribute to his earliest days in the business — he set out to blend a cigar the way he used to blend Cuban tobacco, recreating the taste and experience of the cigars of his youth.
The blend pairs an Ecuadorian Havana-seed wrapper with Cuban-seed Dominican binder and filler, rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in Santiago. It smokes medium-bodied with old-school balance — the kind of refined, unhurried profile that rewards attention without demanding strength for its own sake. The vitolas carry a charming touch: they're named after Cuban dominoes — Doble Cuatro, Doble Cinco, Doble Seis, and so on — a nod to the game played in cigar factories and Cuban social clubs for generations.
Casa Cuba isn't as flashy as Opus X or as widely marketed as the core Arturo Fuente line, and that's exactly the point. It's a quieter, deeply personal expression of the family's heritage — the cigar Carlos Sr. chose to leave as his signature.
For Louisville-area cigar enthusiasts who already know the Fuente name, Casa Cuba offers a different angle on the same legacy. The Office Cigar Lounge keeps the line stocked alongside the full Arturo Fuente family, giving Louisville metro smokers a chance to taste the blend a legend chose for his final word.
